Our
Story

We are the Avian Society at UNC-Chapel Hill! The club was founded in Spring 2024 with the goal to foster a welcoming community for birders and advocate for bird conservation at UNC. We are officially affiliated with the National Audubon Society through the Audubon on Campus program which seeks to promote bird education and conservation through higher education institutions. We hold regular outings which are posted on our calendar & Heel Life, ranging from bird conservation projects, bird watchings, photography competitions, and many more fun events!
